Key dates

Deadline to choose your option (election) – 22 November 2025

Thusano Trust vesting date
– 1 December 2025

Thusano Trust payouts / transfers to beneficiaries – from 1 March 2026
If you did not record your choice with JIS by the deadline of 22 November 2025, the default is that your shares will be sold after vesting and the cash (after taxes and fees) paid to your recorded bank account after 1 March 2026. Be sure to check with JIS that your contact and banking details are correct, using the channels listed above.
IMPORTANT
Protect yourself from scams
Neither the Thusano Trust nor JSE Investor Services (JIS) will ever ask you to pay a fee to receive your payout or transfer your shares.
Only statutory taxes and standard administration fees (handled by the Trust/JIS) apply. If in doubt, contact JIS on the numbers above.
Make my selection
On 1 December 2025, your shares in the Thusano Trust will vest — meaning you had an opportunity to decide what to do with them. Beneficiaries were asked to make their choice (an election) by 22 November 2025.
Your three options were

Sell your shares — receive the cash value (after taxe and fees) into your bank account.

Keep the shares – transfer all your shares into an account with a stockbroker of your choice.

Do both – sell some shares and keep the rest
For options 2 and 3 you could:
- pay the tax portion upfront and take ownership of the shares; or
- sell some of you shares to settle the tax and costs, meaning your shares that are transferred will be less than the original amount, that is, what remains after settling tax and fees.
How to check your shares and details
Even though the election period is over, you can still check your statement to see how many shares you have, and make sure your contact and banking details are correct. You can do this in several ways:

Online
- Log in to your JIS profile: www.investecss.co.za/thusano/account/logon
- Use your employee number or ID number to access your account.
Read the instructions to be sure that you have taken all necessary steps and provided all the necessary information.

By phone
- Call JIS: 086 125 5525 or 086 143 3659 Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00 (Agents can assist you in your preferred language).
- Send a “Please Call Me” to 083 680 0079 (you’ll be called back within 24 hours).
- Outside South Africa: +27 11 713 0000,
or Text +27 83 680 0079 to request a call-back.

By USSD (with SA ID number)
- Dial *120*1138# on your mobile phone to access your shares info.
